Short answer: A professional B2B website costs $10,000 to $50,000 or more at most agencies and $50,000 to over $500,000 at enterprise scale, per Bootstrap Creative's May 2026 guide and TripleDart's July 2026 guide. Demand Designer's fixed prices run $3,250 to $14,999. Running the site adds $120 to $6,000 a year, depending on the platform.
A B2B website has seven cost lines, and this guide prices each one in US dollars so you can add up year one and year three before you sign anything. Five lines are the price of the build, grouped by who builds it. The last two are what the site costs to run and what it costs over three years.
I am Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer, a solo web design studio. I sell some of the builds priced here, so I have a bias and I would rather say so. The build prices in line 3 are mine, from a fixed price list. Every other range is a vendor estimate, labelled with its source and date. I wrote this for founders and heads of marketing at B2B companies selling in the United States, many of them running on EOS (not affiliated with EOS Worldwide).
Key takeaways
Published guides disagree widely: Bootstrap Creative says $10,000 to $50,000 or more, while TripleDart says builds start at $30,000 and can reach $1,000,000.
The gap is scope, not quality: unique page templates, content migration, custom functionality and CRM integrations set most of a quote.
Demand Designer's fixed-price builds are $3,250, $4,850, $6,950, $9,750 and $14,999 (Demand Designer price list, October 2026).
Platform fees alone run from $120 a year for Framer Basic to $6,000 a year for HubSpot Content Hub Professional (Framer, HubSpot, read 25 October 2026).
In one peer-reviewed study, 92% of the vulnerabilities found in WordPress sites came from third-party plugins (Murphy, Zibran and Eishita, 2021).
Forecasts built from a project's own plan run optimistic (Kahneman and Lovallo, 1993), so I price three years, not launch day.
Cost line | Typical 2026 price in USD | Source | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
1. Builder or AI tool | $0 to $500, plus a plan | Platform pricing pages | A placeholder site |
2. Freelancer | $500 to $5,000 | Velox Themes, 2026 | A template with your content in it |
3. Fixed-price studio | $3,250 to $14,999 | Demand Designer price list | A site that must produce leads |
4. Mid-size agency | $10,000 to $50,000+ | Bootstrap Creative, May 2026 | Strategy plus build with account management |
5. Enterprise build | $50,000 to $500,000+ | TripleDart, July 2026 | ERP, portals and several languages |
6. Running costs | $120 to $6,000 a year | Framer and HubSpot, October 2026 | Every site, every year |
7. Three-year total | $5,930 to $22,850 in my example | My arithmetic | Comparing quotes fairly |

1. What does a builder or AI tool cost?
A builder or AI tool costs $0 to $500 to build, plus a monthly plan. Framer's Basic plan is $10 a month and Pro is $30 a month (Framer pricing page, read 25 October 2026). You get a template with your own words in it, and nothing connects the site to your CRM.
Build cost: $0 to $500, mostly your own time
Plan: $10 a month on Framer Basic, $30 a month on Pro
Strategy: none included
CRM connection: you set it up yourself
Risk: a site that looks finished and produces nothing
This is a fair route for a company that needs something credible online this month and has no sales team yet. I do not build these, but I do not argue against them either, because the honest alternative for a day-one company is waiting.
The cost shows up later. A builder gives you a layout, not a decision about what a buyer needs to see. It does not decide which page a buyer needs before booking a call, and it does not tell you which channel sent a lead. On the sites I have been asked to rescue, the missing piece was rarely design. It was a form that went nowhere and a page that answered no question a buyer had.
The plan fee is the only line you can predict. Framer lists Basic at $10 a month and Pro at $30 a month, so a placeholder site costs $120 to $360 a year to host before any seats or add-ons. Budget your own hours at a real rate, because a founder who spends 40 hours on a site has paid for a freelancer without noticing.
"A builder gives you a layout, not a decision about what a buyer needs to see," said Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer.
2. What does a freelancer on a marketplace cost?
Freelancers on marketplaces list $500 to $5,000 for a Framer build, per Velox Themes' 2026 guide. The low end is a one-page site at $500 to $1,000. The high end is an advanced portfolio or store at $3,000 to $5,000. Quality varies far more than price does.
One page: $500 to $1,000
Multi-page with animations: $1,000 to $3,000
Advanced site: $3,000 to $5,000
Hourly: $20 to $75, about $35 on average, per Velox Themes citing Upwork
Is $1,500 a good price for a website? For a basic template site it is fair. For a B2B site that has to generate and route leads, it is too low, and something important has been left out.
A $1,500 quote usually buys a purchased theme, a few pages and a contact form. It usually leaves out custom page structure, a CRM connection, redirects from the old site, working analytics and any help with the words on the page. In the quotes under $3,000 that clients bring me, the work is usually a template with your content placed in.
That can be the right call for a first site. It is the wrong call when the site has to start producing pipeline, because you will pay for a rebuild. Ask the freelancer three things in writing: which CRM the form connects to, how redirects from the old site are handled, and who owns the files when the project ends.
"A $1,500 quote usually buys a purchased theme, a few pages and a contact form," said Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer.
3. How much does a fixed-price studio build cost?
A fixed-price studio build costs $3,250 to $14,999 with Demand Designer. The price is agreed before work starts and the scope for each price is written down on the pricing page, so the invoice matches the number you agreed. Quotes above $14,999 are scoped on a call.
Demand Designer price list: $3,250, $4,850, $6,950, $9,750 and $14,999
Pricing basis: hours the scope takes, fixed before work starts
Includes: custom design, conversion structure, CRM and analytics connected
Quotes above $14,999: scoped on a call
Calculator: every option is on the pricing page
I price against the scope, not the page count. Five pages built from two templates cost less than five pages that each need their own layout, so when you compare quotes, ask how many unique templates are being designed.
Two projects show what the spend should buy. For Snappy Kraken, a SaaS company serving financial advisors, I took Figma designs to responsive HubSpot pages in 21 days. The rebuild contributed to 30% more marketing-qualified leads and a 28% higher click-through rate. For Advisor Websites, a personalised design page and a webinar replay system contributed to 58% more organic traffic and a 28% lift in MQL conversion. These are first-party results from my client work, not peer-reviewed findings.
Part of what a good build buys is a first impression. In three experiments, snap ratings of a homepage's visual appeal made after 50 milliseconds closely matched ratings made after longer viewing (Lindgaard et al., 2006).
"You have 50 milliseconds to make a good first impression!" wrote Lindgaard and colleagues in the title of their 2006 study (Behaviour and Information Technology).
4. How much does a mid-size agency build cost?
A mid-size agency build costs $10,000 to $50,000 or more. Bootstrap Creative's May 2026 guide splits it into $5,000 to $10,000 for a brochure site and $15,000 to $30,000 for a lead-generation site with CRM routing. Agency pricing carries account-management overhead as well as design and build hours.
Brochure site: $5,000 to $10,000, per Bootstrap Creative
Lead-generation site: $15,000 to $30,000, per Bootstrap Creative
Startup WordPress or Webflow site: $10,000 to $20,000, per TripleDart
Maintenance retainer: $1,000 to $3,000 a month, per Bootstrap Creative
Sources: Bootstrap Creative, May 2026 and TripleDart, July 2026
The two guides do not agree with each other, and the reason is who they sell to. Bootstrap Creative is a B2B marketing consultancy for manufacturers and industrial companies. TripleDart is a SaaS marketing agency. When two published ranges differ this much, check who each one is written for before you pick a number.
An agency is a good fit when the project needs several specialists at once, such as brand strategy, copy, development and a content migration of hundreds of pages. You are paying for coordination, and for some teams that is the real product.
Bootstrap Creative asks the right question of any quote: what is the difference between a $10,000 bid and a $50,000 bid for the same site?
My answer, from the quotes I see, is scope and who is doing the work. Compare line items, not headline numbers. Ask whether the senior person you meet on the sales call is the one who builds it. On a $30,000 budget, overhead such as office space and account managers is part of what you pay for, and a smaller team can sometimes deliver the same build for less.
"Compare line items, not headline numbers," said Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer.
5. How much does an enterprise B2B build cost?
An enterprise B2B build costs $40,000 to over $500,000, depending on the source. TripleDart's July 2026 guide puts extensive customization and integrations at $50,000 to $100,000, and large-scale projects at $200,000 to over $500,000. Bootstrap Creative puts its enterprise and e-commerce tier, aimed at large manufacturers, at $40,000 to $75,000 or more.
Extensive customization and integrations: $50,000 to $100,000, per TripleDart
Large-scale enterprise projects: $200,000 to over $500,000, per TripleDart
Enterprise and e-commerce tier: $40,000 to $75,000+, per Bootstrap Creative
Typical scope: ERP and API integrations, customer portals, multiple languages
Delivery time: six months or longer, per Bootstrap Creative
Why do B2B websites cost more than other business websites? Because the site has to do sales work for a group, not one person. Industrial marketing research has studied that group for more than 50 years under the name buying center.
"The buying center (BC) has captivated the attention of researchers for > 50 years, becoming a central element of organizational buying behavior," wrote Cabanelas, Mora Cortez and Charterina (Industrial Marketing Management, 2023).
In my projects each person in that group checks something different. The operations lead reads the process page, finance looks for pricing signals, and whoever signs wants case studies with numbers in them. Each of those needs its own page or section, and the forms need to connect to HubSpot, Salesforce or whichever CRM the sales team works in. At enterprise scale that work is multiplied across business units and languages, which is why the top of the range is so wide. A realistic enterprise plan also budgets for discovery, security review and a longer approval chain, none of which show up in a design estimate but all of which show up in the invoice.
If you already have a site and are replacing it, the website redesign cost guide covers that case.
6. How much does a B2B website cost to run each year?
Running a B2B website costs about $120 to $720 a year in platform fees on Framer, $500 to $3,000 or more a year on WordPress once hosting, plugins, security and maintenance are counted, and $6,000 a year on HubSpot Content Hub Professional. Add roughly $10 to $20 a year for a domain.
Framer: Basic $10 and Pro $30 a month; extra editors $20 and content editors $10 a month (Framer)
WordPress: $500 to $3,000+ a year, from client sites I have built and maintained
HubSpot Content Hub: Starter listed at $20 per seat a month; Professional $500 a month with 3 seats (HubSpot)
Shopify: its price page showed me Canadian dollars, so I do not convert them here
Read on: 25 October 2026

The Framer arithmetic is the list price times 12: Basic is $120 a year, Pro is $360, and Pro with one extra editor and one content editor is $720. HubSpot Content Hub Professional at $500 a month is $6,000 a year, and that price includes 3 seats and HubSpot's marketing tools, so it is not a like-for-like swap for a hosting fee.
WordPress is the line with the widest spread, and the spread is plugins. A peer-reviewed 2021 IEEE study examined the plugin ecosystem and found a weak spot in it.
"The WordPress core is known to be relatively secure, but its plugin ecosystem is not," wrote Murphy, Zibran and Eishita (IEEE/ACIS SERA, 2021).
Keeping a website running is never free. It is either money or your time. The same study reports that 92% of the vulnerabilities found in WordPress sites are attributed to third-party plugins, which is what a maintenance retainer pays someone to watch. Bootstrap Creative lists retainers of $1,000 to $3,000 a month for ongoing development work, which is a different service from patching.
"Keeping a website running is never free," said Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer.
Per-platform breakdowns go further: Framer, WordPress, Shopify and HubSpot. Hosting is part of the plan on Framer and Shopify. On WordPress it is one line inside the yearly range.
7. What does a B2B website cost over three years?
A three-year total adds the build to three years of running costs. Using one of Demand Designer's fixed prices, $4,850, on each platform, Framer Pro comes to $5,930, WordPress at a placeholder $1,500 a year comes to $9,350, and HubSpot Content Hub Professional comes to $22,850. The cheaper launch can be the more expensive site.
Framer Pro: $4,850 build plus 3 ร $360 = $5,930
WordPress: $4,850 build plus 3 ร $1,500 = $9,350
HubSpot Content Hub Professional: $4,850 build plus 3 ร $6,000 = $22,850
Gap, WordPress against Framer: $3,420
Assumption: one build price on every platform, to isolate running cost

The build price is held equal on purpose, so the chart shows running cost and nothing else. Real builds differ by platform, and the $1,500 WordPress figure is a placeholder inside the $500 to $3,000 range from line 6. Replace it with your own quote.
Purchasing research has a name for this habit of pricing the whole life of a purchase. Ellram's 1995 paper in the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management presents total cost of ownership as an analysis approach for purchasing (Ellram, 1995).
Forecasting is where it goes wrong. Kahneman and Lovallo describe the habit I try to avoid.
"Overly optimistic forecasts result from the adoption of an inside view of the problem, which anchors predictions on plans and scenarios," wrote Daniel Kahneman and Dan Lovallo (Management Science, 1993).
A quote anchored on the plan leaves out the plugin updates, the seat you add in month eight and the rebuild you will want in year three. Software that is more complex also tends to cost more to maintain, per a classic study of business software (Banker, Datar, Kemerer and Zweig, 1993), so I weigh how easy a site is to change as well as what it costs on day one.
What sets the price of a B2B website?
Four things set most of a B2B quote: the number of unique page templates, content migration, custom functionality and integrations. Published estimates for design, development, copy and SEO each span about 6 to 36 times from lowest to highest, which is why two quotes for the same site can differ so much.
TripleDart's July 2026 guide lists copy at $4,500 to $25,000, design at $4,000 to $110,000, development at $4,500 to $160,000 and SEO at $2,500 to $40,000 (TripleDart).

Page templates. Ten pages built from four templates cost far less than ten designed one by one. Most sites need fewer unique templates than their owners think.
Content migration. Moving 40 blog posts with their rankings intact is real work. Moving 400 is a project of its own, and Bootstrap Creative warns that unmapped 301 redirects can make organic traffic drop overnight.
Custom functionality. Booking systems, pricing calculators, gated downloads and client portals are each a line item.
Integrations. CRM, email platform, analytics and ad pixels. Connecting them with tracking that fires is the difference between a redesign and a new coat of paint.
If a quote does not name the CRM it connects to and explain how lead source is tracked, ask for both in writing before you sign. A form that emails the owner takes an hour. A form that creates a CRM contact, tags the lead source and starts a follow-up sequence takes real time to build and test.
Which B2B website cost row fits your project?
Match your project to one row, then read across for the build route, the build price, the yearly running cost and the thing to check. A placeholder site and a lead-generation engine sit in different rows even when both have ten pages.
Project | Build route | Build price | Running cost a year | Check this |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Placeholder site for a new company | Builder or AI tool | $0 to $500 | $120 to $360 | No CRM connection |
Founder-led marketing site | Fixed-price studio | $3,250 to $14,999 | $360 to $720 on Framer | Scope written down |
Content-heavy lead engine | Mid-size agency | $15,000 to $30,000 | $6,000 on HubSpot Professional | Seats and retainer |
Manufacturer with ERP and portals | Enterprise | $40,000 to $75,000+ | Quoted per project | Integration list |
Startup WordPress or Webflow site | Mid-size agency | $10,000 to $20,000 | $500 to $3,000 on WordPress | Plugin maintenance |
Prices are Bootstrap Creative's (May 2026), TripleDart's (July 2026) and my own price list (October 2026). The platform fees are Framer's and HubSpot's published prices, read 25 October 2026.
How much will your B2B website cost over three years?
Add the yearly platform fee, seat fees and domain, multiply by three, then add the build. That total, not the build alone, is the number to compare across quotes. The inputs below are placeholders from this guide, not a quote.
Here is one worked example. A Framer Pro plan is $360 a year and one extra editor is $240, so platform fees are $600 a year and $1,800 over three years. Add a $9,750 build from my price list and a $15 domain each year, which is $45 over three years, and the three-year total is $11,595. Swap in your own build price, platform and seat count.
How do I set a budget for a new B2B website?
Set the budget from what the website has to produce, add three years of running costs, then compare quotes line by line. The setup cost of a new site is the build plus the domain, the platform plan and any copy you pay someone to write.
Name the number the site should move: demo requests, quote requests or qualified leads, and roughly what one of them is worth to you.
Count templates, not pages. List the page types you need and ask each firm to price per template.
List every integration: CRM, email platform, booking tool, analytics and ad pixels.
Price three years using line 7 and your own platform fees.
Ask three questions of every quote: which CRM it connects to, how redirects from the old site are handled, and who owns the site and its files when the project ends.
A site that brings in one extra $20,000 client a year can justify a very different budget from one that exists so prospects can check you are real. If a quote cannot answer the three questions in writing, it is not ready to sign.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a B2B website cost?
Most professional B2B websites cost $10,000 to $50,000 or more at agencies, per Bootstrap Creative's May 2026 guide. Focused studios start lower. My own fixed prices run $3,250 to $14,999, and enterprise builds reach $50,000 to over $500,000 per TripleDart's July 2026 guide.
Is $1,500 a good price for a website?
It is a fair price for a basic template site with a few pages. For a B2B site that must generate and route leads it is too low, because CRM connections, redirects, analytics and copy are usually left out. Compare written deliverables, not headline numbers.
What is the average cost of a 5-page website?
Marketplace freelancers list $500 to $3,000 for a multi-page site, per Velox Themes. My fixed builds start at $3,250. Page count matters less than the number of unique templates, since five pages from two templates cost less than five that each need their own layout.
How much does it cost monthly to own a B2B website?
On Framer it is $10 to $60 a month, depending on seats, on HubSpot Content Hub Professional $500 a month with 3 seats, and on WordPress roughly $40 to $250 a month once hosting, plugins and maintenance are counted. Add about $10 to $20 a year for the domain.
Who owns the website when the project ends?
You should, and the contract should say so in writing. Ask who holds the platform account, the domain and the design files before you sign. In my projects the client owns the site and its files on handover, with the scope and price agreed first.
Who can build and price your B2B website?
I am Joshua Jackai, founder of Demand Designer, a solo web design studio, and I build B2B websites on Framer, WordPress, Shopify and HubSpot at fixed prices from $3,250 to $14,999. The price and ship date are written down before work starts, and I begin by listing which of the seven lines apply to you.
To see where your current site loses leads before you spend on a rebuild, start with the Pipeline Leak Scorecard, a fifteen minute check. If you are still choosing a platform, the platform comparison comes first, and you can book a free scoping call when you have a scope in mind.
